We would like to remind that the screening of the award-winning documentary film from the Los Angeles Film Festival titled ‘Erdogan: The Dictator’s Republic’, is on Tuesday, 9th of October evening at 6pm.
As it is a catered event, we would appreciate it if you could send us an RSVP at your earliest convenience. For the people that have already responded, thanks in advance.
Advocates for Dignity presents to you a documentary that takes an in-depth look at the country of Turkey, its President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as he takes further steps to erase democracy and bend the rule of law to his will.
Prior to the documentary screening, there will be a cocktail reception with food and drinks. There will also be a photo exhibition showcasing some of the senior personnel and teachers of Hizmet movement or Fethullah Gulen inspired schools in countries outside of Turkey, that have been extradited back to Turkey by its President.
After the documentary screening, we will also have Prof Greg Barton, Chair in Global Islamic Politics at Deakin University, as the keynote speaker, which will be followed by a Q&A session moderated by Dr Peter Manning.
The program will be held on Tuesday, 9th of October 2018 at Dendy Cinemas Circular Quay.
The program is by invitation only, so please ensure that your name is checked at the registration table prior to entry in to the cinema.
